OMG!  judy has never (EVER) like punkin' pie. Wait til I show her this pic. That will cement her opinion for sure.

too late. she has seen it.
Her comment was a very wry, "I am not at all surprised to see this is where that sort of pie comes from." Judy's opinion is that if if it ain't apple or cherry it's probably not fit to put in a pie.
Don't look at me! I might have raised her, but I personally have never met a pie I didn't like .... a lot!

p.s. Now, if it's possible to get tired of plain pumpkin pie ... and I'm not sure that really ever happens ...
I sometimes take cold punkin' pie, mix up some butter, brown sugar, and pecans, put that on top of the pie and pop the sucker under a hot broiler for a couple of minutes until it melts and bubbles. Serve a slice up with a big ol' dollop of whipped cream and you have ....
instant addition of 2 inches to your waist line and one hell of a sugar rush. However, it's also downright soul-satisfying-stuff & a small change from the every-day. Try it sometime.
